Out and About: The Bare Necessities part 1

Here I am embarking into yet another category of wardrobe must-haves. In this case, a denim skirt. I especially like the grunge thing going on with the frayed hem and all those threads hanging around.

What you’ll need:

Cropped shirt: Cotton On

Denim skirt: H&M

Sandals: Rubi @ Cotton On

I also put on a short black chain with a big chunky pendant. I really would suggest short chains/necklaces or chokers when wearing something with a wide neck like this shirt. It’s super comfy tho. Maybe this should be considered an ~essential~ too.

That’s all for today’s extra simple look. Hope to see y’all in my next post. ALSO, Eid Mubarak! πŸ™‚ Hope you guys have a great holiday! Ciao ❀

Make a Statement: Redition

I love adding a pop of something bright to an otherwise dull ensemble, just like I did in my first post under Make a Statement.

So I decided to make this look a little more fun with some red flats, red lipstick, and my favorite bag!

The stuff you need to know:

Tee: Name one place that doesn’t sell plain t-shirts. Go on, I’ll wait. Mine is from R&B Arabia tho

High-waist jeans: ONLY

Flats: Forever 21

Bag: Desigual

My parting advice to you today is this: Go ahead and wear a red hair accessory, and OWN it

See y’all in my next post. Follow me if you don’t wanna miss out on anything since I have some major cool stuff in store for y’all. ‘Til next time, guys ❀

Out and About: The Bare [Shoulders]

Lesson learned today: Guuurl, always highlight them shoulders too!

I’ve really been into off-the-shoulder / cold shoulder tops recently, and this is one I picked up just last week (I realized a liiittle too late that I should have gotten a size smaller tho). Scroll down for the deets, duh :3

Top: Cotton On (The Essential Shirt)

High-waist jeans: ONLY

Pumps: Vincci

Bag: Desigual

Necklace: H&M

Sunglasses: Claire’s Accessories

Yep, that’s all for today. Hope you enjoyed this post about the look I created with my new over-sized shirt. Catch me in a few days with another look. Ciao xx

Prints, Prints and more Prints: Afraha Day

We had this event at university over the weekend – an African one! It was called Afraha Day. I love dressing up for themed parties and events but to my dismay, I couldn’t find anything for this one. So I’m gonna show you what I came up with at the last moment πŸ˜€

  • Maxi dress: Cotton On
  • Sandals: Forever 21
  • Neck piece: New Look
  • Bangles: Claire’s Accessories

Okay, that dress really was comfy, and I love how it’s slit a quarter way up. And that print??? Man, I am so glad I bought this dress, hahaha

Thanks so much for reading. Hope to see you again, soon!

Make a Statement: Turquoise Edition

Glam up any plain, monochromatic look with something bright and bold! That could be anything from a statement necklace or a pair of earrings, to brightly colored shoes or bags (or all of these! The more, the merrier). I vamped up this dull all-black look with some statement pieces the same color as my birthstone – turquoise.

Blouse: H&M

Sandals: Rubi @ Cotton On

Bag: (a present from my dear aunt and great-aunt) Caprese

Watch: R&B Arabia [also available at Aldo Accessories]

Earrings: [I don’t quite remember. I think it was Shopper’s Stop in India, but who’s to say you won’t get something just as beautiful at Aldo Accessories, again?]

That’s all for today! Follow me if you wanna keep up with my posts! Thank you all so much for your support. Much love!

Prints, Prints, and more Prints: Les Chats

All about Plaid: Edition 1

I’m tellin’ ya, stock up on some plaid shirts. They come in handy on those days you just don’t know what to wear. Moreover, they’re super comfortable and come in a variety of colors. There’s at least ten for everyone, trust me!

  • Shirt: Garage
  • Shoes: Converse All Star
  • Cross-body bag: Cotton On
  • Wayfarers: Ray-Ban
  • Jeans: H&M

That’s all for now. Hope to see y’all in my next post!

Mix & Match: Laziness meets Tattoo Apparel

It was a cloudy day and I’d already spent an hour trying to decide what to wear. I was aiming for something warm, yet comfortable, in case the clouds disappeared (which was expected, tbh).

  • Cardigan: Iconic [Deira City Centre, Dubai. I picked this up a few years ago so I don’t think it’s worth a try, but you can definitely find something similar at Ed Hardy]
  • Shoes: Converse All Star
  • Bag: R&B Arabia [check at: Topshop, New Look, Mango, Marks & Spencer]

I wore no jewelry at all (yes, I’m ashamed), but had I been in the right state of mind, I’d have worn a choker, or a pair of spikey earrings (or both, hehehe).
